Why2k?

     Why is there so much attention  given to Y2K, or beginning the year 2,000? Is the year 2000 the beginning of a new century, or  a new millennium? Here are 3 points one needs to consider to understand about Y2k and  is Y2k directing man to the time he has left in this society to live life by his own way and his own standards.

       First, Y2k should make church members remember and  understand that Y2k is really Y6k or the year 6000 as man has recorded time, and that may not be accurate. There have been 4000 years that have come and gone before the last 1999 years, so the year 2000 is really year 6000 or y6k according to man's record keeping of time. All of the attention that has been given to the year 2000 is not really the beginning of the new millennium, but the  beginning of the last year of the year y6k as man has recorded time, which is the last year of this decade of the 60th century.

    An important question that a church member should ask is 6000 years all the years of God's plan that God has planned for today's society to be ruled by the kingdoms of men? Has God given man and man's kingdoms more than 6000 years or has God numbered the years and days of man living by his own way? If one studies God's plan in His Word about salvation and the purpose in God creating man one would come to that conclusion based on certain Scriptures.  

        Secondly,  the attention given to Y2K has been to direct man's attention to a date problem of the coming new year, that man has created by not writing or coding the year 2000 into his computer technology. This cause and effect problem will, if this date is not corrected before  the beginning of this coming calendar year 2000, mean trouble for all of his date sensitive computers all over the world, as man and his experts in the field has presented this problem to all of society.

    Why, because by their high tech thinking an incorrect date corrupts its stored information by which it does its work. This presents trouble for man's life as the media and press and experts in the field of computers has presented it, because of all of the work that automation computer technology does for man's society and his life's pipeline, causes man to rely and greatly depend upon it to supply all of his needs such as water, waste disposal, food, electricity, gas and many other things. This is very important, as they have made it to appear, because if this date problem is not corrected sufficiently there will be either the rationing or cutting off of these essentials to man and his community. Many prophecies do point to a time when food and water will be rationed and people will be traveling from city to city to have water. Are the people of the world entering a time during the next year or the years to follow when this will begin to come to pass?.

     This  is what man is predicting and is at stake and what could result from this man created  y2k computer problem if not corrected in all of the world's computers. In reality this incorrect date, as they have made it to appear, could mean a change of life for man as man has come to live his life. This created y2k problem or a similar terror event and disaster could represent to man, his society, and all the world's kingdoms that God has looked upon all of man's sins, his life's fruit and works, and have found them greatly lacking in fulfilling his purpose for man.  In plain words man and his kingdoms have been weighed in the balance and found wanting or in great need of recognizing his great sins and who is the provider of all necessities of life.

   Man has come up short  of what God has commanded of man. In plainer words, man has forgotten his God as his true Provider and Creator and the God and Savior that this nation once knew at its beginning, or at least His name, and now Christ and His Name is rapidly being totally thrust out of people's minds and hearts. The hatred for the name of Christ and the laws being passed by the government is causing it to become politically incorrect to teach in the name of Jesus Christ and the things concerning His Gospel.   

       This great sin, along with all of man's other grievous sins to destroy life and family on this earth, have reached to the throne of God to such a degree that God must intervene to cut short  or stop man's terrible ways of his sins and desire to destroy all life,  or no flesh will be saved, but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened, Mat. 24:23. Man's created Y2k problem to gain greater dependency over all men through technology could change life for all of the earth's inhabitants all because of man's trust and dependence upon his technology as his god that supplies all his needs, rather than looking to God as his Creator and Provider and Sustainer of all of man needs. So if this date problem is not corrected the effect that it will create, as it has been presented, could create many problems for man. It also has created a need for society to provide the need to sacrifice more of their earnings to even   more  higher taxes to get the computer updated for future needs to control man and his life. So this god that man has created in society will be used to bring judgment against men as has been prophesied in Revelation.  

       Thirdly, If one considers and understands these first 2 points, then Y2K could represent a cry of where we are in time that has been made to all men and especially to Christ's body, His Church. A time when Christ's coming is soon to be known and revealed by His  judgment coming to all the earth, called throughout His Word, as the THE DAY OF THE LORD, and a time that no time before, or after, can compare to it. God says he will permit power and control to be given to a world ruling kingdom to be set up with 10 kings for the cleasing of His sanctuary, His church and called today a world ruling new world order who will go about conquering and dividing to conquer all nations of the earth, Daniel 7:23, Rev. 6:1-4.  If nothing else, man will use his now updated computers through the money they have collected from the public through the government to update all  computers to conquer and control all men of the earth. 

    God says in Joel 2:2--"Blow you the trumpet in Zion and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord comes for it is nigh as hand." Christ says that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. People will not be expecting it when it comes.

    This is why Y2K or its final effect through the computer technology could very well be man's handwriting on the wall. This  Y2k handwriting has been written across the wall of all of today's society. It is written across  TV screens, computer monitors, across newspapers, news magazines and books. It is also written across consumer products in retail stores. It is spoken of and discussed in many of the news presentations, it is spoken of in many of the talk programs, it has become the talk of society. Many people of  today's society have at least heard, or have seen this handwriting of man, and  have some knowledge about its possible, potential disruption in the computer services to man because of its missing date problem as it has been created in the minds of all people. Also, all of this y2k exposure will bring to the attention of man his dependency upon the computers as he has permitted  this problem to come about.

      The great majority of all people believe time is endless in this world of man. They believe time and society as man knows it will go on without end. They believe God's prophecies are not to be fulfilled at this time and  any church member who believe they are is looked upon as  some cult, as they define a cult. Many so called Christians believe Christ is once again delaying His coming by their words and their understanding, Mat. 24:48. It is believed that this great nation, with its protective walls of 2 great oceans, one on on its east coast and one of its west coast, and 2 friendly nations on the north and south border, is unsinkable, much like people believed about the great Titanic ship. The hole  that was found in the side of this unsinkable ship of man's technology world was created there either by purpose or  the lack of man's vision and insight.

        However, the hole that has been created is now being reported as having been  repaired and is believed that it will have no effect on this giant ship of this nation, its economy, its trading of goods, and all that keeps it afloat. Everyone has been assured by its government, it utilities companies, banks along with the rest of the world, even evangelists that there will be no problem from Y2K, or at the most, it will only be a "small bump in the road." 

    The media, and its world of communications, has succeeded in quelling all fears of any Y2K problem,  and said no need for any lifeboats in the way of serious preparations for its possible life threatening  disaster,  and say that it will not disrupt life on this earth. They have passed on what this  nation's ship's Captains, its president, its government officials and special Y2K committees have assured everyone, that all holes in the ship of the computer world are compliant,  have been fixed, and that the people can rest assured and expect life to continue as it is and no life disrupting problems will come from, or out from it throughout the year 2000, only peace and prosperity.

          This reported "bump in the road problem," is taking millions and millions, and maybe costing up to billions of dollars to fix. Has it been fixed from that problem, or only to create another problem down the line of time that will bring disruption upon the people's way of life all because of his dependency upon the computers for his necessities of life.  

Y2k and the numbering of man's years and days

     God, the great CREATOR,  in the beginning, gave to man the 7 day week of time, and that was given as a pattern of time and schedule to man's life. God created the earth and the heavens in six days, and created a seventh day by rested on the seventh day from all His work, Gen. 2:1-3. God blessed and sanctified (set it apart from the other work days) the seventh day, as the Holy Day of the week, for rest and to always remember to take note to keep holy this day, and ordained to be used to help man remember, that God is man's CREATOR, and the CREATOR of all things pertaining to man's life. God's 4th commandment to man in Exodus 20:8, commands man to remember the Sabbath day, to keep it HOLY. Verse 9, "Six days shall you labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord: in it you shall not do any work, neither your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor maidservant, nor livestock, nor a stranger in your gates."

   God also gave to man a seventh month, holy day time plan, that gives to man certain  Holy Days, that give  him  understanding of why life is on this earth, and good news how man can inherit eternal life with Christ and why time is given for that understanding. God in Hebrews 4 speaks of entering his Sabbath 1000 years of rest. In Rev. 20:2-7 speaks of a 1000 year reign with Jesus Christ for His Saints.

     Man's six-day, work week represents 6,000 years that God has given to man to live his choice of life. In the beginning, God put two choices, or two ways of life, before man. One choice, or way of life, was said will end in his death if man chooses it and the other way, or choice of life, that God encouraged man to choose, was the choice of life, that would give, or produce as its fruit, eternal life in His Kingdom.

   These two ways of life were symbols represented by the two trees mentioned in Genesis 2:9, 16,17. One of the trees pointed out in God's Word, was the tree of life, and the other tree was the of knowledge of good and evil. God planted these 2 trees to represent 2 ways of life before man. Man was given 6000 years to experience and see the end results of choosing the wrong tree of life. Those 6000 years are nearly fulfilled and even the final days of those years could be cut short. If Christ says in Mat. 24:22 the days of man shall be shortened, then this must mean there must have been a specific numbered years and  days of man if they will have to be shortened in order that people will be saved. 

Y2k and being weighed in the balance

        Man, and all of his government and computer technology, has led mankind to come to to the place of complete trusting and dependence upon big government, and his system of technology, for all his needs. This  is idolatry to God. Man today trusts this system to supply all of his needs of food, water, and energy for the home, heat and cooling, transportation and communication to deliver those needs. The real provider and creator  God of all these things has been shoved aside and forgotten. Man and his  "in government we shall trust," has for the past few months,  been stating to the people, there will be no problem with Y2k, and that the year 2,000 will be peace, safety and prosperity. Has all of man's computer technology along with his big government, come to be the trusting "god" of man's world, protecting and supplying all man's needs?  

     The people of this nation and the nations of the world, have come to the place where technology has replaced the need of God in their lives. God, and the need of God, is totally pushed out of their lives as their Creator and Provider of all their needs to such an extent that any person's relationship with his Creator God is looked upon as a cult, evil, and is looked down as being the off scouring of the earth. In much of today's society, anyone who looks to and teaches about the true God and Christ of the Bible as one's Savior, Provider and Protector is scorned, ridiculed and scoffed at and persecuted! People have come to trust the god of "big daddy" government, with all its computer technology, as the provider of all their needs. They have come to believe God has gone away and has no interest in man, or to many that He simply does not exist.

Verse 1:  My personal computer  and its technology is my shepherd: it supplies all my wants:

Verse 2:  It makes me to lie down, to relax in green pastures of new web sites, and  porno e-mail to amuse me, it leads me besides its still waters of contentment of eye pleasing pleasure and sin.

Verse 3.  My personal computer restores me as the god of my life, encourages me by inspiring me to continue to follow the forbidden tree, it leads me in the paths of the knowledge of self-righteousness, by permitting me to decide what is good and evil for my own screename's sake.

Verse 4.  Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, my personal computer helps me to cast off the warning of the curse of my sins, so I will fear no evil, for my computer is ever with me, its mouse and monitor comfort me.

Verse 5: My personal computer prepares a table of a scrolling screen, to look and lead me with enticing e-mail sites, to look upon with lust in the presence of mine enemies, (God, His law and His Scriptures). My computer anoints my head with the oil of Satan's spirit, my life is running over with all that my computer is continually presenting before me.

Verse 6: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and will never be very far from me, but for me and my computer and its wrong use, we will dwell in the house of Satan forever.

Y2k and dividing  to conquer

          In the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ concerning Him and His prophesied Day of the Lord, Christ first warns the churches of God to repent and overcome their sins.  Jesus Christ warns that His Day of the Lord, His Day of Judgment, will come upon a society like a thief in the night. In other words the vast majority of all peoples of the earth will not expect it is the time and the season of the beginning of His judgment. His Word does also say that no person even including Christ Himself, knows the day or the hour, that only God the Father knows that time. But  the saints of God can know the season because  Jesus Christ in I Thes. 5:2-4 says,"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them , as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day (time or season) should over take you as a thief."

     In verses 3 and 4 of Rev. 6 Christ the Lord, permits to be opened the second seal of His judgment on the earth. This opened seal permits peace to be taken from the earth, that has resulted from all nations economics and social life being broken down, causing disruption in the life sustaining chain of human necessities. This could come about because of some event, whetherY2k with a problem with all computers, or some other terriost disrupting action that  becomes very disruptive in all society. It could be a terriost action against our electrical, water and food supply, or whatever problem that could  shut our society down. Or this disruption could be from terriosts bombing   cities or spreading chemical or bacterial warfare over the country. Any of these could take peace from the earth and begin a great tribulation over the earth.
